WHAT IT READS
None of these ask for extra work. They are the records a serious rabbitry keeps anyway, and BarnMark makes quick to keep. BarnSight is what happens when they stop sitting in separate files.
You pose the rabbit and work it region by region, the way a judge works the table, scored against your interpretation of ideal. Not the Standard's unless that is yours: the rabbit you are breeding toward. Every Pose is dated and scored on the same anchored scales, so March and November actually compare.
Legs, placings, and the judge's comments, kept on the rabbit that earned them and set beside your own Pose of the same animal. Where you and the judge disagree is some of the most valuable data you own. That is the barn-blindness check.
Nest-box losses, a fertility drop, the respiratory issue that keeps tracing back to one doe's family. BarnSight is being built to notice when a health signal keeps surfacing in one line and not the others, and to say so with the litters and treatments it counted.

BARN BLINDNESS
Barn blindness is the oldest trap in the hobby. You live with the same rabbits, and the details that once jumped out start looking ordinary.
Judges see it. Buyers see it. BarnSight exists to check your eye against two things that do not flatter: your own recorded outcomes and the show table's third-party verdicts. It does not replace your eye. It gives your eye an honest second look.
HOW IT THINKS
The finding is arithmetic. BarnSight counts how often a fault recurs in related offspring, compares Pose scores across a line, and checks whether a pairing has produced what you hoped before. It does not pretend to see the future. It tells you what your records already say at a scale you cannot hold in your head.
A finding is a count you could reproduce with enough graph paper and a free weekend. Every count links back to the litters, Poses, and results it came from. Open any of them and check.
One line is repeating the same result often enough to check.
WHEN IT SPEAKS
Software tends to talk constantly. BarnSight works the other way. It holds its tongue until the record behind a finding is strong enough to be worth your time. There are three states, and no others.
It stays silent. If a finding is close, it names the one record still missing (a weight, a Pose, a litter count) so you know exactly what to log next.
It found a real pattern in your records worth your attention. It shows you the pattern and the evidence. It does not tell you what to do.
The evidence is strong enough to suggest a specific action. It names the action, the tradeoffs, and the alternatives. The call stays yours.
NO BLACK BOX
You have spent years trusting your own eye and your own paper. You are not about to trade that for “because the computer said so,” and BarnSight does not ask you to. Reveal any finding and you see the whole basis for it, already assembled from records you can check.

A HARD RULE
A Holland Lop crown problem has nothing to teach your Mini Rex fur. BarnSight knows that and enforces it. Every finding is scoped to a single breed, and one breed's records never bleed into another breed's read.
Run three breeds and you get three separate reads, each built only from that breed's records. The wall holds breed by breed because the counts stay breed by breed.
WHO DECIDES
BarnSight suggests. It never acts. It does not cull a rabbit, book a breeding, retire a brood doe, or change a pedigree. When a finding reaches you, you decide. Take it, take it with changes, choose an alternative, set it aside, or mark it not useful. BarnMark records your decision beside the finding.
Later, when the real outcomes come in from the grow-outs, the show table, or the next litter, BarnSight looks back and checks who read the situation better: its finding or your own call. It is willing to be wrong on the record, and it keeps that scorecard where you can see it.
You never leave your work to go ask it anything. It is already there at the moments a decision gets made, including what happened the last time you brought in outside stock: from your records, not the seller's.
BARN TRACKS
A Barn Track is a tag on an event; the definition takes one sentence. What BarnSight does with it takes seasons: it follows every Track you lay, counts the outcomes with the tag and without it, and holds the result to the same three states as any other finding. Silent, insight, or recommendation.
Your grandfather's rules get a fair test in your own records, and so does the theory you picked up at the last show.

At launch, take a clear photo of a paper pedigree or a judge's comment card at the table or beside the cages.
It will draft the fields and flag anything it could not read cleanly, so your eye goes straight to what needs a second look.
Review the draft, correct what you need, and save. Nothing enters your records until you commit it.
