THE SYSTEM

One season, phone in hand.

BarnMark is being built so the record keeping is nearly effortless: one hand, at the cage, in the flow of chores. BarnSight is why every one of those records earns its keep. Follow one season from the first entry through Pose, show results, and Barn Tracks.

  1. You record

YOU RECORD

First, the barn work gets lighter.

Log the pairing at the cage and BarnMark queues the nest-box date. Kindling is a ten-second entry: 8 born, 7 alive, and the litter inherits its pedigree on the spot. Weigh-day rides your normal rounds. Juniors flow into Pose when they are old enough to read. The show entry carries the ear number, the pedigree, and the class with it. The sale closes the record without retyping a line.

None of this asks for a desk session. And every record you catch at the cage is one more thing BarnSight can count.

POSE

Pose: your eye, on the record.

A Pose is exactly what it sounds like. You pose the rabbit on the table and work it region by region the way a judge would: head, shoulders, midsection, hindquarter, fur, and on through all fourteen regions.

Each region is scored against your interpretation of ideal. Not the Standard's unless that is yours: the rabbit you are breeding toward.

Every Pose is dated, attributed, and scored on the same anchored scales, so a March score and a November score mean the same thing. Pose a junior at weaning, again at senior evaluation, and again before a show, and the three actually compare.

Over seasons, your Poses become the honest history of your eye. They show where it held and where the herd changed under it.

SHOWS

The results talk back.

Show results enter the same system as your barn records. Entries, legs, and Grand Champion progress stay tied to the rabbit that earned them, and so do the judge's comments. Log “needs more hindquarter” before you are back at the car, and BarnMark sets it beside your own Pose of the same rabbit.

Agreement builds confidence in your eye. Disagreement gets flagged, because that is where barn blindness hides.

And if you never enter a show, the scale and the nest box talk back just as honestly: a litter of three when you needed eight, a grow-out that missed weight by two weeks.

BARN TRACKS

Barn Tracks: test what you suspect.

A Barn Track is a tag you drop on any event: a moon phase, a heat wave, a feed change, a new buck's temper in August. The next time you log the same kind of event, BarnMark offers the tag back so the habit keeps itself.

After enough seasons, BarnSight counts the outcomes with the Track and without it, and shows you whether the pattern holds in your barn. Your grandfather's rules get a fair test in your own records.

One hunch, kept on the record

A breeder lays a moon Barn Track on breedings. Three seasons later BarnSight reports conception rates by phase from her own records, and she decides what to do with that.

BARNSIGHT

Everything lands in one place.

BARNSIGHT / REVEALED FINDING Revealed
01 THE FINDING

Shoulder width is slipping in Atlas descendants.

02 THE CONFIDENCE
Strong / 32 kits counted
03 THE EVIDENCE
  • 7 of 19 Atlas-line juniors scored narrow in their Poses
  • Three related litters carry the same change
04 THE REASONING

Related offspring repeat the same shift across separate does. Your latest Poses make the line worth a second look.

The barn records, Poses, show verdicts, health notes, and Barn Tracks all reach BarnSight. It counts across them and lays out a finding with the records that support it.

The decision stays yours. That decision goes back on the record, which is why next season's finding is sharper than the last. The records give BarnSight its evidence. BarnSight gives the records their reason.
